David DeMola Receives SAR Eagle Scout Award

The Northeast Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution presented scholarship awards to Eagle Scouts Jason Sniegowski and David DeMola at the annual NEPA Boy Scout Gathering of Eagles Dinner held at the Woodlands Inn and Resort in Plains Township.
David DeMola was the recipient of the 2010 Northeast Chapter SAR Runner-up Award. David is the son of Frank and Ilene DeMola of Pittston. He is a member of St. Rocco's Pittston Boy Scout Troop Number 303, and throughout his scouting career, he served his troop in leadership positions such as the troop Scribe, Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader. David volunteers his time to sort and shelf library books at the West Pittston Library and assists with the cleanup of his church after weekend mass. David is a senior at Pittston Area High School and is a member of the National Honor Society and Track and Field athletic team. He is currently employed by Wal-Mart in Pittston, and he plans to attend college next year and major in History. His Patriotic Essay for the Scholarship was titled "Valley Forge." For the Runner-up position, David received a certificate of recognition, a SAR Eagle Scout Patch, and a cash award of $75.00.
