Scouts complete Canoeing River Trip

In July, Pittston Boy Scout Troop 303 and Avoca Boy Scout Troop 316 went on a weekend canoeing river trip along the Susquehanna River. The Scouts launched their canoes on Saturday morning from Meshoppen and traveled on the Susquehanna River to Tunkhannock.
They camped in tents on Saturday night, traveled from Tunkhannock to Pittston on Sunday, and landed their canoes on the shores of the river near the Pittston Riverfront Park.
The Scouts completed requirements for the Canoeing Merit Badge, the Swimming Merit Badge, and the Camping Merit Badge.
